Sen. Akaka introduces bill for pet welfare

Yay to Senator Daniel Akaka who co-introduced the bill, Pet Safety and Protection Act of 2009, that will prevent pets from being sold to or obtained illegally by research laboratories.   Good going, Senator Akaka!

    Good work Senator. I hope this puts some teeth into enforcement by providing some funding and real penalties.
